Belgian band, Brutus have recently shared their brand-new single “Dust” – as well as announcing UK shows this November!
Brutus are a band for those post, hardcore rock fans. Members consist of Stefanie Mannaerts (vocals, drums), Stijn Vanhoegaerden (guitar) and Peter Mulders (bass). “Dust” is their first, new single since the release of “Sand” back in 2020. Now, the band are back and ready to blow out eardrums! “Dust” is an energetic track that is likely to cause one hell of a mosh pit when performed live! It’s impossible to listen to it quietly. It has to be blasted out of your speakers in order to be fully appreciated.
In the track, Stefanie explores the draining feeling one feels when they are stuck in a high-demanding friendship. Her vocals express this intensity wonderfully. It’s so incredible powerful, you can physically feel her frustrations within yourself. Brutus explain;
“‘DUST’ was born out of the frustration of having friends with demands and expectations that were way too high. It’s a song about being at breaking point; pissed off about everything and everyone. ‘DUST’ is honest, direct and unfiltered. It’s a very special and personal song for us, which is why we wanted this to be the first new song for people to hear.”
