Black Pink star, ROSÉ, has recently dropped her brand-new single new trick – which is now available to stream via all major streaming platforms!
new trick has a pop-punk vibe that is quite reminscient of old school Avril Lavigne. Be prepared to be transported back to the early 2000s as this is a song that will make any millennial proud. It has a kick that will draw you in instantly, almost forcing the listener to stick around till the very end. Not that you would mind, as the single desverse to be your new favourite jam.
Alongside the release, Rosé also dropped a fun music video that was directed by Dave Meyers who has worked with some of the most famous people in todays music industry including; Taylor Swift, Harry Styles and Kendrick Lamar. The entire video was creatively filmed on Apple’s newly unveiled iPhone 18 Pro. Earlier in the month, the songstress teased the latest single through Apples latest campaign, Shot on iPhone. This campaign has also been supported by The Weeknd, Lady Gaga, and Olivia Rodrigo.
ROSÉ may have began her career as a K-Pop artist, but she is experimenting with her solo sound and seems to be venturing into the world of pop-punk. She tells Vogue;
“I’ve been working on new music for quite some time now, and I’m still in the process of finding the perfect fine line between the world I want to create. how much of that expresses who I am today, and who I, personally and as a musician, am evolving into. I’m excited to see where this journey continues to take me, what sort of sound resonates [with] me, and to introduce a new era of my music next year.” – ROSÉ
