LA based pop songstress, Lily Lane, has recently released her fantastic new single titled “Bad”
Upon the first listen, the first thing the listener will notice is how stunning and pitch perfect Lily’s vocals are. They are uniquely flawless and addictive. You can hear the passion within every soulful lyric sung. “Bad” was produced by Taylor Sparks – who has worked with the likes of Kelsea Ballerini and Azealia Banks. There is a powerful energy about this track. If you ever want to feel like a bad-ass villian in a Hollywood film, then this is certainly the track for you.
Lily Lane explains;
“The day I wrote this song I was feeling frustrated over the leaked SCOTUS draft overturning Roe v Wade and I realized that sometimes even if you get the right guys in office, you campaign, you donate the world isn’t fair. I walked into this first session with Taylor, eyes puffy from crying- I looked a mess and literally said, ‘sorry I look like this, usually I’m a baddie but today I’m just bad’ and that became the tag for this song.
I want to help women realize their lives don’t have to be Cinderella movies, they can literally be Maleficent and it can be just as beautiful and inspiring and dope. Sometimes the loves of our lives are our friends or our pets or ourselves.”
The singer comes from a family of entertainers. She was quite literally born to be on stage. Her older brother being 1/2 of the multi-Grammy nominated duo, Sofi Tukker. Her main goal she wishes to pursue within her music and career, is to become a champion for body positivity, female & LGBTQ representation.
She has performed at a variety of iconic music venues including; to a sold-out audience at the House of Blues in Boston along with Big Time Rush, sung for the Knicks at Madison Square Garden, and played at some of New York’s most well known venues including Irving Plaza and Gramercy Theater.
