The time has finally come for Maisie Peters to share her wonderful new album Florescence, which is now available to stream via all major streaming platforms!
Over the past few months, Maisie has been dropping singles that feature on the album. Each track as brilliant as the last. The ones that fans have already heard include Audrey Hepburn, Say My Name in Your Sleep, My Regards, You You You, and Kingmaker which featured the talented songstress Julia Michaels. Each and every one of these songs play an important role of what we could have expected from this new era. The storytelling in each track are simply perfect, and they set a high expectation of what else was to come. Now the album is finally out, it is fair to say that the expectations were exceeded.
Florescence opens with a stunning ballad that will resinate to all that hear it. Mary Janes tells a story of imperfection, yet none of them matter when you have found someone that loves every part of you. The gentle guitar melodies and soft vocals continue in Old Fashioned and Houses. Old Fashioned in particular has the most infectious beats that build up throughout the song. The flow is satisfying to the ears. A flawless song for those who love the sounds of Nashville.
Questions is a song that certainly stands out on the album (and is also our song of the week). Maisie Peters takes her songwriting skills to a whole new level. It’s catchy melodies make it a strong contender for the song of the summer. For fans of Taylor Swift, this track is one for you. A girls roadtrip? Maisie has got you covered.
Another song that will have you screaming from the rooftops with your girlfriends is Girl’s Just Flying. A song about moving on from a relationship, and thriving for it. A reminder of an older track from the singer, There it Goes which featured on her previous album The Good Witch. It has the same hopeful feel that everything is going to be okay.
Florescence concludes similarly to how it began. A beautiful ballad about being in love. Nothing Like Being In Love is the perfect end to what can only be described as the perfect album. Florescence touches on themes of love, hope, and a hint of bitterness. The emotions you will feel throughout the playthrough will have you feeling the highest high, but will also guide you through the lowest lows. The warm embrace this album will give you makes the whole experience worth it.
Florescence is an album not to be missed. Be sure to stream it on all major streaming platforms now!
