Two pop queens, Maisie Peters and Julia Michaels, have joined forces for their new track Kingmaker.

Yes, you read that correctly. Kingmaker is the next single from Maisie Peters new album Florescence, which is due to be release on 15th May! The pair are a force to be reckoned with. Both have unique, soothing vocals, as well as having the incredible talent of storytelling in their lyricism. It’s a surprise that they haven’t collaborated sooner as the two singers are simply meant to perform together.

“‘Kingmaker’ is a song about power dynamics, chiefly about being a woman and feeling like you’ve offered your time, wisdom, talent, and belief to someone who has then taken advantage of it. t’s about the sting of uplifting someone, only to find out they didn’t deserve you in the first place; about giving a man the benefit of the doubt and having it thrown in your face.” – Masie Peters on Kingmaker.

Kingmaker is the fifth single from Maisie Peters new album. It follows hits; ‘My Regards’, ‘Say My Name In Your Sleep’, ‘You You You’, and ‘Audrey Hepburn’. During her show at the Fonda Theatre, Maisie surprised the crowd by bringing Julia to the stage for the first debut performance of Kingmaker. The crowd went wild as the two showcased the latest edition to an already strong discography.
