Whovians are 3 episodes into the latest season and already the cogs are turning. As well as Ncuti Gatwa has brought a new modern flare to the doctor, and fans are already glued to his blossoming friendship with recent companion Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson).

This season is due to come to an end on 21st July, with an episode a week released on BBC iPlayer. Friday 21st see’s a special day for the show, with it’s final 2 episodes coming to Cinemas. Vue, Showcase and Odeon are all showing late night viewings, starting at 11pm.

At 11pm, the previous weeks’ penultimate episode will air and once midnight hit, the final episode will air. Fans are thrilled with the thought of seeing their favourite show on the big screen, with many already having bagged their tickets.

From what we’ve seen so far, ruby and the Doctor have been exploring time and space and finding themselves in some tricky situations. Some repeated aspects hint at a bigger hidden story, like Ruby bringing snow to wherever the pair are, and the constant 4th wall breaks.

Viewers were introduced to Maestro in episode 2, who is played by much loved American Drag Queen, Jinkx Monsoon. There is also a special appearance from Jonathan Groff, so the guest actors alone puts this season in a league of it’s own. From space babies to landmines, Whovians can’t wait to see the rest of the journey for these two and where the tardis will take them next.
