Pop-punk band, Against The Current, have recently released their brand-new single “Heavenly”.
The band have just finished their fifteen year anniversary tour, and to celebrate, they begin a new era. “Heavenly” has a sound that Against The Current are so loved for. Powerful, dramatic, and not to mention that it is highly addictive. Lead singer, Chrissy Costanza, has some of the most strongest vocals on the rock music scene. Every belt of a lyric is brimming with passion and intensity. Pair that with the heavy instrumentation and you have yourself an immense track.
On the song, Chrissy explains;
“‘Heavenly’ is the realisation that the fall from grace is liberation. After balancing on a knife’s edge atop a pedestal others put you on, the moment of letting everyone down becomes the first gasp of fresh air after a lifetime of holding your breath.“
The new chapter has already started strong, and the band only continue to promise more. A press release for Against The Current confirms that the trio are ‘gearing up for a massive year: writing new music, planning a global tour and preparing to unleash their most ambitious era yet’.
