East London producer and DJ, IZCO, has recently dropped his brand-new single Wonderluv ahead of his debut album release.
IZCO has been working on his debut album Powerscroft for sometime, and the project continues to grow with Wonderluv. The single follows the DJs previous releases Japan Greatly and Strike a Pose – both of which had great support from multiple publications including; NOTION, Trench, FADER and CLASH.
Sampled from Leroy Hutson, the theme around the track is all about the love, and the euphoric emotions you feel when you have found your person. Upon reflection, IZCO is quoted;
“This one is inspired by how it feels to walk around the city when you’re in love”
As the release of Powerscroft grows ever closer, IZCO looks back on what inspired the project. The album is named after the street he was once raised. The artist wants to reintroduce soul back onto the dancefloor by blending a mix of grime, garage, dub and soul together. He began producing music at the age of eleven, where he initially experimented with rap beats, before evolving into a talented grime and club artist.
He has worked alongside prominent names within the producing industry including Capo Lee, Novelist and Reek0. His credits also features on PinkPantheress’ ‘Passion’, and has collaborated with Katy B and Greentea Peng. As well as his solo work, he is also the co-founder of Brighter Days Family – which is a community driven collective known for its sold out shows and collaborative ethos.
IZCO is currently on tour where he will finish in London. Powerscroft is due to be released on 1st May so mark that date in your calendars! To show your support, be sure to stream Wunderluv via all major streaming platforms!
