Ready or Not 2: Here I Come has recently hit the big screens. But is this long awaited sequel worth the wait?

In the first film, we see Grace MacCaulley (Samara Weaving) marry the love of her life Alex (Mark O’Brian). Little did she know that her new family were in fact, part of a satanic cult. After the ceremony, the family come together where Grace is informed that, by tradition, she is obligated to draw a card where she will find a game written. Whatever game she draws, they have to play. Sounds innocent, right? Well…Grace soon finds out that the family she has married into have some rather dark secrets. She pulls Hide and Seek, but this innocent game has a deadly twist. The family are to hunt Grace with weapons and try and kill her before dawn, or they will pay the price in the morning.

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come follows what happens straight after the events of the first movie. This girl simply can not catch a break. Turns out, this game delves even deeper than Grace thought. She is thrown back into danger, but this time, she is joined by her estranged sister Faith (Kathryn Newton). It’s a story of survival. Can the sisters put aside their differences and come together in order to save their lives?

We return to the original question, was the sequel worth the wait? Yes. The casting director who put Samara and Kathryn together deserves an award. The pair had incredible chemistry and it is a duo we never thought we needed. They also added some other well loved actors including Buffy star, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Lord of The Rings (and wig enthusiast) Elijah Wood. The star studded cast brought tension that will have you on the edge of your seat. As twisted as the story is, it is also rather humorous. A bit of comic relief goes a long way, and the way it was sprinkled throughout the movie was perfection.
