The festival season continues this summer with Trentham Live – an annual music event that takes place over a whole weekend.

The event has been so successful in the past, the organisers decided that the weekend event will turn into a five day event. Trentham Live this year was originally supposed to be over four days however, due to popular demand, McFly were announced as the headliners on a fifth date and will be opening the festival on the first day – which was later added after other headliners were announced.

This is the third year in a row that McFly have performed at Trentham Live, and the crowd go absolutely crazy for them. This year was no different. The crowds went wild from the moment the band walked onto the stage, and here they belted hit after hit. They of course performed the crowds favourites including; 5 Colours in her Hair, Obviously, and All About You. But they also added new music to their set from their most recent album “Power To Play”. These tracks included Forever’s Not Enough, Where Did All The Guitars Go, Land of the Bees, God of Rock and Roll, and Honey I’m Home.

Before McFly came to the stage, The Hoosiers warmed the crowd up with their set. They also sung a range of old and new songs. Of course, they performed everyone’s favourites Goodbye Mr A and Worried About Ray, but they also performed a couple of new tracks from their newest album – which is due to be released soon.

Overall, the festival was a massive success. Unfortunately, we were only able to attend the first day however, the event carried their party on over the next four days with Olly Murs, Feeder, Chase & Status, and Kaiser Chiefs as headliners. There is also a merch stand, bar, VIP area, and great food with a lot of variety.
