Maisie Peters has been on tour around the UK to round up her “You Signed Up For This” era. Over the weekend, her tour took her to Cardiff where she performed a sold-out show in Tramshed!
To kick things off, the crowd were introduced to Cate – Maisie’s roommate and best friend who is also a talented songwriter and artist. Having your best friend support you on tour sounds like goals, and we can’t imagine how fun that would be. During the show Maisie explained that it was like having a sleepover every night. Cate performed her set which included her brand-new single “Get Better.” She also sang “Can’t Wait To Be Pretty,” fan favourite “Groupie,” and even a cover of Hannah Montana’s “Rockstar” as people claim that she looks like her. We all love a good cheesy throwback.
After quite a wait, Maisie Peters took to the stage and blew the crowds minds from the very first song. Her set began with a rather new release “Body Better,” and from there, she belted one song out after the next. She sang hit singles including “Psycho,” “Not Another Rockstar,” and most recent single “Lost the Break-up.” In between performing dance-worthy songs, she slowed things down a bit with “Worst of You” and “John Hughes Movie.” A particular highlight for the crowd was when she bought Cate back on stage where they sang “Cate’s Brother” together. “Cate’s Brother” is an extremely energetic song and fans went berserk over it!
Unfortunately, all good nights out must eventually come to an end. Maisie finished her set with her track “Blonde” and it was the perfect way to end. Her performance was magical in the sense that you can escape into the music and forget about the world for an hour or so. She has this rock energy that is so infectious, you can’t help but embrace it. Her band were exceptional. There is nothing like feeling that bass in your chest and the vibrations under your feet. Maisie Peters is a fantastic performer and a live act worth watching.
The songstress has a new album “the good witch” which will be out on the 16th June. You can now pre-order in here. Whilst her UK tour may be over, she is still on the road and will be heading to the rest of Europe and North America, as well as Wembley Arena later in the year!
