Two wonderful women artists who are killing the music scene right now have come together for a powerful new single “Head on Fire.” Sigrid and Griff have proven that they are the ultimate dream team by releasing a track that is simply perfect – bluntly put.

“Head on Fire” has a sense of nostalgia to it…and we’re not quite sure why we think this. It’s a pop song that would have done well in the 90s, but it has the modern take that everyone who loves pop today die for. The contrast in sounds make the song even more incredible. Sigrid and Griff both have strong, unique voices, yet they blend together so well, it’s almost angelic. Their voices are soulmates that are just meant to be together. The collaboration blossomed over the pandemic and has now turned into an empowering anthem that all need to hear immediately. On the collaboration, Sigrid explains;

“Griff and I met sharing a pizza at the Rueben Selby show at Fashion Week in London, haha. We went to the studio a while later and just had a day of talking about life, before writing ‘Head On Fire’. It’s about that feeling when you meet someone who just flips everything upside down and you can’t focus on anything else but that person. Sarah’s just lovely, and it’s been so much fun working with her.

Griff adds;

I’ve looked up to Sigrid so much, especially as a young girl who broke through making powerful, credible pop music. So I was excited to hear she wanted to write. We hung out and made ‘Head On Fire’, this really fun, feel-good song, and I’m excited for the world to finally hear us on a track together.”

The song was also released alongside a music video which can now be watched below;

Both artists have proven that they are unstoppable. Griff has been the breakthrough sound in 2021. After winning a Brit, she was the first female artist to go top 5 with a mixtape on this summer’s acclaimed “One Foot In Front Of The Other” – featuring the hit single “Black Hole”, Griff followed up with recent single “One Night.” Taylor Swift (the legend herself), has also openly shared that she, is in fact, a massive fan of Griff. Taylor has been a huge inspiration for the singer alongside Lorde and Banks. To have one of your heros admire your work must have been an absolute dream for the rising star.

Sigrid was in LA when the pandemic hit and has been working hard on songs that will eventually become the follow-up to 2019’s UK top 5 album, ‘Sucker Punch’: her critically acclaimed debut that followed the pop sensation’s BBC Sound of 2018 win and the top 10, Platinum certified success of festival anthem ‘Stranger’s. At only 24 years old, she has great success including multiple hits, soundtracked the BBC Olympic closing montage with her stunning ballad ‘Home To You’ which climbed to #2 in the iTunes charts, and becoming one of the most unforgettable live acts. She will be heading out on tour in March, kicking off in Manchester. Tour dates can be found below;
