New, pop-punk duo The Lunar Year have recently dropped a brand-new single titled “Back For More,” and it is probably the most addictive new release that you will hear this winter.
The Lunar Year may be a new band with new music and new live shows, but the members are certainly no strangers to the music scene. The duo consists of Connor Ball, bassist of The Vamps, and Sasa Macek of Cheat Codes. Together, they have formed a new project that showcases an alternative sound that bear resemblance to All Time Low, Blink-182, and Fall Out Boy.
In “Back For More,” the pair have taken that classic alt style from the early 2000s and modernised it to create a signature sound of their own. It’s an upbeat track that tackles the serious topic of going back to someone who is toxic for you. “Back For More” is a chant worthy song that will allow listeners to vent their frustrations if they happen to be suffering with the same difficulties. Connor’s vocals are simply made for this style of music, pairing that with highly relatable lyrics, and Sasa’s incredible drumming skills, there is no stopping them. Be careful how many times you listen to the track however, it’s an earworm that will live in your head rent free. The Lunar Year are a group that we didn’t know we needed.
Connor and Sasa have also recently shared the news that they will be performing three shows before Christmas rolls around. “Back For More” is a song made for the stage. Fans will feel that energy bounce off the walls and is bound to create a fantastic atmosphere. Tickets can be found here.
