Steps have released their brand new single ‘Take Me For a Ride’. The track is available to listen to on all major streaming platforms!
The band are back with yet another summery, upbeat tune. The song comes from the much anticipated album ‘What The Future Holds Pt 2’, due to be released 10th on September.
Steps have reunited with Karl Twigg and Mark Topham who helped write some of their biggest hits, such as ‘One For Sorrow’, ‘Deeper Shade of Blue’ and ‘Stomp’. Working together, ‘Take Me For a Ride’ is a blissful goodbye to the ‘What The Future Holds Pt 1‘ era, as the band look to the future and get their fans ready for Pt 2.
When discussing the track, Steps said:
“It’s much darker than what we have done in the past and the lyrics tell a real story about someone being gaslighted in a relationship, a topic that’s finally getting the attention it deserves. It’s one of several songs on the new What The Future Holds Pt 2 album that takes our Steps sound in exciting new directions. We can’t wait to hear what everyone thinks about the track and the album as a whole. We hope you love it as much as we do.”
‘What The Future Holds Pt 2’ will be available to buy on CD, with both standard and deluxe versions available, vinyl, cassette, and all digital formats. The new release will include a total of 15 tracks, with 10 shiny new songs as well as 5 acoustic overs of previously released singles.
Steps will be headlining their ‘What The Future Holds UK tour throughout November and December. You can buy your tickets here.
