5 Seconds Of Summer are one of the biggest bands of this generation. After being discovered and supporting One Direction, they blew up and have blessed us with some banging songs.

As their most recent album “CALM” was such a big success earlier in the year, we wanted to look back on the bands career a bit more. 5SOS are notorious for creating quirky, imaginative and fantastic music videos. It’s difficult to narrow them down to just five, but we’ll try our best.

5) Wildflower

Let’s start with the bands most recent music video. “Wildflower” can be found on 5SOS’s latest album and the video is filled with bright colours that are insanely pleasing to the eyes. It was directed by Andy DeLuca and was filmed during lockdown.

Lockdown has been difficult for everyone, yet it’s amazing the creations that have come out of it. McFly have also made a music video during quarantine that’s just as creative. Truly amazed at how bands and musicians like 5SOS have adapted to the change.

4) She’s Kinda Hot

“She’s Kinda Hot” features on the bands second studio album “Sounds Good, Feels Good.” This video shows the fun side to 5SOS. It showcases their whacky personalities we all love them for. They were able to add comic-like animation into the video – creating a nostalgic vibe.

Over last few years, they’ve certainly grown up meaning that their music and sound has grown with them. It’s a sound we absolutely love, but it’s nice to reminisce back to these kinds of videos and feel childish again. We all need that from time to time.

3) Youngblood

This is quite an interesting one. The band themselves are not in the video personally, yet we see a story that warms our hearts. At the beginning, an elderly couple can be seen in wheelchairs. A nurse approaches and offers the couple a pill. Once the pill has been taken, the pair automatically turn back into their teenage self and are able to relive their youth, before turning back into their present selves. The story behind it means that the video deserves a place on this list.

2) Don’t Stop

It’s time to take this all the way back to the first album. It’s an oldie but it still remains as one of our favourites. In “Don’t Stop,” Luke, Ashton, Calum, and Micheal are dressed as superheroes…obviously. The frame switches to the band being…well normal, and performing the song, to then showing their alter-egos fight bad guys. It’s stupid and badass at the same time. Just like “She’s Kinda Hot,” it shows off 5SOS’s fun side.

1) Old Me

“Old Me” sure does deserve the top spot on this list. It shows a more serious side to the Aussie’s, but it’s an interesting watch for the fans. We see them on a long train journey reminiscing on their old selves. It’s supposed to portray their journey as band, taking it all the way back to the beginning before the fame. Towards the end, we see real life, old footage of them performing at a small venue – essentially where it all began. The ending sees 5SOS exit the train onto a stage where they are about to perform in front of thousands of their adoring fans. It’s such a lovely sentiment and tells such an incredible story of how they got to where they are today.
