Vegas band, The Cab, have just released their highly anticipated new album “Chasing Crowns” which can now be streamed on all major streaming platforms!
Let’s start with something glaringly obvious…18 tracks?! Before even hitting the play button, you know that you are in for a good time just off track listing alone. Before the release of the album, the band had dropped three singles; Locked and Loaded, Back From the Dead, and Sweet Kerosene. These singles perfectly represented the sound and feel of the other tracks. So, let’s talk about the other songs that made it onto the album.
“Lost Without You” is the first album track that stands out. It’s filled with a sense of nostalgia that you want to relive time and time again. The perfect song for the summer with its catchy beats and the simple, yet effective lyricism. “ih8yourgutz” is probably one of the best song titles we have ever seen. It certainly catches your eye. Very reminiscent of the classic, pop-punk sounds of the early 2000s.
Later in the album, you will discover a beautiful song titled “Every Universe”. The tempo slows down significantly in order to showcase this stunning ballad that will leave the listener with a tight knot in their chest. The best songs are those that allow you feel emotions. Sometimes, you don’t even know what those emotions are or why they are there, but the power of music will allow you feel that way, even when you don’t understand it yourself.

Coincidentally, the next track is all about feeling…”Pain”. However, this song does a complete U-turn on the last. We have gone from feeling intense emotions, to wanting to head-bang at the barrier of a gig. The energy is infectious and will likely be a fan favourite.
The album concludes with another stunning track “Tears in Reverse” – and it is the perfect end to what is truly a magnificent album. The acoustic guitar element draws you in, before building into something much more. The lyrics are relatable and catchy and will instantly put you in the best of moods. Another track for the summer!
Overall, the album is fantastic. The Cab have proven that they’ve still got it. This marks the new chapter for the band, and what a way to begin. “Chasing Crowns” will be you next favourite album…trust us on this.
