Pop-rock band, The Cab, have returned with their all new single Sweet Kerosene – which has been released ahead of their highly anticipated album Chasing Crowns.
Sweet Kerosene is a gentle, emotional track in which the lyrics will resonate to all that listen. Front man Alex DeLeon showcases his smooth, signature vocals, paired with the bands notable musicianship, it creates the perfect masterpiece. It marks the third release from the band ahead of their newest album Chasing Crowns. This will be The Cab’s first album release in over a decade. Sweet Kerosene, Back From the Dead, and Lock and Loaded are the singles in which mark the new era and gives only a glimpse into what is to come next.
“This one has always felt like a movie. There are just some songs where the script just writes itself and the imagery just paints itself. We have been dying for the world to hear this one and we hope you love it as much as we do. Sometimes it’s better to let someone burn you to the ground then to never have felt the heat of their flames at all. Sweet Kerosene is one of those songs that truly set our creativity and hearts on fire.”
In the late 2000s, The Cab were highly significant in terms of the pop-rock scene. Their debut album Whisper War – which was released back in 2008 – featured production from Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy, and Brendon Urie of Panic at the Disco. Since forming all the way back in high school, the band are still continuing to grow as the world of streaming changes. In 2025 alone, they generated over 90 million streams worldwide!
