James Arthur has recently set out on his tour around the UK, and we were lucky enough to witness his show in Cardiff!

The show warms up with his incredible opening acts. First artist to take the stage was the wonderful Neve. She has one of the most captivating voice you have ever heard. Beautiful tones, and catchy lyrics. The next opening act was the fantastic Dean Lewis. We have recently published a review of just his set from the night – it really was that good! You can check it out here (spoiler alert: he was great!)

It was finally time for James Arthur to grace us with his presence. One of the best parts about a gig, is the bulid up before they enter the stage. James Arthur had an insane build up of fireworks and confetti. This was even before he set foot on the stage! He opened the show with the incredible track “Bitter Sweet Love,” and you just know that we were in for an insane performance as the crowd were already singing their hearts out.

From here, he sang a range of some of his most loved songs including; Empty Space, Can I Be Him, and Trainwreck. He also sang a range of covers which were simply stunning. His rendition of Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years” had the entire audience in awe! He also sang a cover of The Greatest Showman’s classic song “Rewrite The Stars,” where he also invited Neve back onto the stage to sing this as a duet. Together, their voices blended just beautifully. But, it wasn’t the only duet of the night! James then bought Dean Lewis back out on stage later in the set where the sang one of James’ favourite track of his album “Falling Like Stars.” They both have such unique voices, but together, they almost work as one. It was a magical moment!

Other highlights of the night was when a lovely couple got bought onto the stage so the gentleman could propose to his girlfriend. She obviously could not refuse that offer, and the audience got to witness the lovebirds share a beautiful moment!

He rounded up the night wither his most popular song “Say You Won’t Let Go” before the audience exited the building satisfied with the wonderful performance they had just witnessed. Overall, James Arthur put on a truly magical show.
