Dean Lewis has dropped a music video for his powerful single “Memories” – which can be streamed on all major streaming platforms!
Dean Lewis is known for releasing the most heart wrenching songs you can imagine. And we mean completely soul-destroying…it’s brilliant. His lyrics always hit you where it hurts, yet his music works as an incredible emotional release. Music is the best kind of therapy; to be able to connect to a song on an emotional level allows the listener to get their feelings off their chest. “Memories” is one of the songs. The lyrics are heartbreaking, the vocals are raw, and it is simply beautiful.
When talking about the track, the singer explains;
At the end of last year, I finished touring and had a small moment to breathe and reflect… & during that time… I wrote ‘Memories’. This song describes the breakdown of my relationship with my closest friend of 3 years. I felt so isolated when I couldn’t just pick up the phone and talk to her. I just wanted to hear her voice, but it is also about being thankful and grateful for all the moments you shared. As a songwriter, I feel like it is one of those songs that come along every couple of years…I felt like the chorus slowed down the world when I listened to it for the first time.”

Last year, the singer had quite the whirlwind as he headed out on the road for his “Future is Bright” world tour. This tour saw him perform at multiple venues and festivals across the globe! I March, he will be joining James Arthur on his sold out UK Arena tour where he will be performing “Memories”, as well as some of his best hits live (again, you might want to bring those tissues with you if you plan on attending).
