Silverstone Festival have thrilled party goers this week with the an exciting chat with Danny Jones of McFly.
The band consisting of Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd rose to fame in the early 2000’s with the classic ‘Five Colours in Her Hair’. Since then, they’ve had hit after hit, featured in films and also formed a super group with Busted.
McFly enjoy performing live to a crowd and it’s clear from their engaged performances that outdoor festivals are a favourite of theirs. With the new album ‘Power To Play’ fast approaching, fans are excited to hear new tracks played live such as ‘God of Rock & Roll’ and ‘Where Did All The Guitars Go?’
When discussing the event, Danny Jones said:
“I am just super excited to be performing at Silverstone Festival this year. It’s going to be our first time. We don’t know what to expect but we’ve heard it’s incredible and the crowds are amazing. We all love motorsport as a band so to be performing here feels like a proper milestone. I think music and sport marry really well. Everyone I meet in the world of music wants to be a racing car driver and every racing car driver wants to be a musician. I know Lewis Hamilton does – he has a little bit of a studio set up when he goes on tour. I’ve seen!”
Silverstone Festival is guaranteed to be a belter with something for everyone at the event. With epic crowds of over 100,000 and the glorious venue of the Silverstone Circuit you certainly won’t want to miss this. Get your tickets here!
