REVIEW – Blue Kick Off Their Heart & Soul Tour!

Blue have this week embarked on their brand new Heart and Soul tour, hitting arenas up and down the UK to sold out crowds!

Blue consists of Simon Webbe, Anthony Costa, Lee Ryan and Duncan James. Originally hitting the music scene with ‘All Rise’ all the way back in 2001, they quickly became one of the most successful boy groups of all time. After spending time on different projects and starting families of their own, they are back on tour with their greatest hits and some new songs, too.

Megan McKenna warmed up the crowd with some amazing original tracks, including the massive ‘The Good, The Bad, The Bitch’. She also got fans going with some unreal covers – including the classic ‘Country Roads’ as well as a completely re-imagined version of Britney’s ‘Everytime’.

Following Megan was our girl group dream – B*Witched. They entered the stage with the classic ‘Rollercoaster’ with an upbeat energy throughout. With songs such as ‘Blame It On The Weatherman’, ‘Jesse Hold On’, and their most popular track ‘C’est La Vie’ there was a party vibe from start to finish.

Each member had their own entrance to the stage to their first track – ‘Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word’. From the moment the boys walked onto the stage there was a sense of nostalgia and excitement but it also felt like they had never left the music industry. With a mixture of upbeat tracks such as ‘You Make Me Wanna’ and ‘Bubblin”, there were also more intense moments during ‘Guilty’ and ‘Breath Easy’. Those high notes were still hit by Lee Ryan – and all in all it was evident their talents had never wandered!

About half way through the concert, Blue had a quick costume change and welcomed the audience to the world of Mo-Town. With a carefully thought of medley, all four were clearly in their element and introduced a whole new style to their charm.

Overall, Blue are incredible live performers and put on a show not to be missed. Whether you have been a fan for the last 20 years or are interested in watching something new, Simon, Anthony, Lee and Duncan will not let you down with their musical talents and performing talents. It’s a pleasure to be a part of.
