McFly Release Video for ‘Walking in the Air’ Cover

Christmas is less than two weeks away, and everyone is starting to get into the holiday spirit. This includes pop-rockers McFly as they share a fantastic cover of the Christmas classic “Walking in the Air.”

The cover sees some incredible vocals from Danny Jones. Whilst the original is known for the exceptionally high pitch, Danny adds his own raspy voice. It may be a complete contrast to the original, but it sure does work. With the help of his bandmates – Tom, Dougie, and Harry – they were able to produce the perfect rock cover for the track. We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again, McFly don’t fit into a genre, McFly are their own genre, and they were able to capture that original and unique sound even in a song that isn’t theirs.

Alongside the release, they also dropped a music video. In the video, you are able to witness the creative process they went through when recording the song. The song was recorded in their own MTA studio. The video is now available to watch via YouTube below;

Last year, the band launched a new website for their fanbase titled “McFly Total Access.” On this site, fans are able to engage with the band in regular livestreams, look back at old videos of the band, watch all their old performances and music videos, and take part in competitions with some amazing prizes. Definitely highly recommended if you are a hardcore Galaxy Defender. More information can be found on their website.

The four have announced several 2022 summer shows, so to ensure that you don’t miss out on any further announcements, you can follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
