Denis Coleman impresses an audience at Bristols O2 Academy whilst supporting HRVY on his “Third Time Lucky” tour!

Over the last week or so, Denis has been travelling around the UK, continually gaining more of a following by showcasing his brilliant songs live. Last nights show (27th of October), was at Bristols O2 Academy and fans were not left disappointed after his incredible performance. Before he even entered the stage, the crowd were chanting his name. They couldn’t wait to see what songs he was going to perform. You could already feel the energy building before the performance even started.

When the lights finally dimmed, the audience cheered as loud as they could the second he set foot onto the stage. Whilst his setlist was short and sweet, he did a fantastic job of warming the crowd up before the main act came on. A favourite of the night was when he performed his latest single “pillowTHOUGHTS.” The single came out back in August and this tour has allowed him to perform it live for the first time. Fans sang the lyrics back to him and it was a beautiful moment.

He also sang a cover of Glass Animals highly rated song “Heat Waves.” Of course, everyone knew the words and had a wonderful sing along. You can never go wrong with throwing in a famous cover into your set. Crowds go crazy over artists supporting other artists so this was a smart move on Denis’ part. The singer also performed his original song “Make Friends” – which he dropped back in May of last year. As the track has been out for a while, the audience were quite familiar with it. It’s a catchy track at the best of times, so live it was simply of the scale. Fans jumped along with him until the moment he left the stage for HRVY to end the night.

As a support act, it is their job to warm the crowd up before the main act comes on. It can be quite a daunting experience for many, but Denis Coleman took it in his stride and the crowd continued to chant his name throughout his performance. It was clear he made a lasting impression on everyone in that room.

Denis was also joined by Keelie Walker, Samantha Harvey and, of course, HRVY. All of which gave an amazing performance. You can check out our full review of the night here.
