Against The Current Unveil New Single ‘weapon’

The fabulous alt band, Against The Current, have recently dropped their insane new single “weapon.” The track is now available to stream on all major streaming platforms!

“weapon” is an extremely energetic track that showcases the trio’s unique signature sound. It’s an addictive rock song that will leave you craving for more. The single follows their last release “that won’t save us” – which was premiered last October. The two tracks have given fans and music lovers an insight as to which direction the band are heading in for their next era.

When talking about “weapon,” front woman, Chrissy Costanza explains;

“‘weapon’ is about the invisible wars we wage within ourselves, where we are simultaneously the protagonist and the antagonist of our own story. I’ve spent so much time being my own worst enemy, as the weapon that destroys relationships I care about. This song is about that battle and the victory I strive for but always seem to fall short of. We wrote it in a time of darkness that existed both in the world around us but also in my own head. This song is a triumph over that darkness.’”

Alongside the release, Against The Current also treated their fans to an explosive music video where they successfully brought the track to life! The video is now available to watch via YouTube below;

The group have managed to gain a significant and dedicated following over the years. They’ve attracted the likes of indie, pop, and rock fans from all across the world. They have headlined three of their own world tours, released two incredible albums “In Our Bones” and “Past Lives,” and have played the main stage at Reading and Leeds festival back in 2019.

The band are continuously releasing banger after banger, and their music will simply blow your mind. “weapon” will have you performing your own imaginary concert in your bedroom – so be sure to dust off that air guitar before you give it a listen! They’re showing no signs of stopping anytime soon, so be sure to follow Against The Current on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for future updates!
