Songstress Munroe has recently dropped her stunning new single titled “Don’t Rush to Get Old.” The track is available to stream on Spotify and Apple Music now!

“Don’t Rush to Get Old” has a cosy and gentle feel to it. If you’re in the mood to relax with a cup of tea, or want to listen to some music whilst doing chores around the house, even during your yoga workouts or meditation sessions, then this is the song for you. Perfect for a rainy day and is easy to appreciate. It asks the listener that even in your moments of failure, learn to slow down and love yourself and those around you.

When talking about the song, Munroe says;

The song is a gentle ask: to slow down and love the entirety of yourself or something else, even and especially in moments of failure. I realize that might sound trite or platitudinal, but I’m finding that some platitudes resonate these days.”

The beautiful track was also released alongside a music video which Munroe co-directed with her girlfriend Sophie Blumenthal. It has a rather simple premise to it, yet the simplicity is what gives the video character. Filmed in a field in King City, Ontario, the filming team are on a search for he Richard Serra sculpture, Shift. Just like the single itself, watching it puts you in a relaxed state of mind. The video can now be viewed below;

Munroe has such an angelic voice that you’ll be able to listen to it for hours. She’s certainly deserves a place on one of your playlists so make sure you go check her out! To show support, be sure to follow her on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
