Sydney Sprague has recently released her brand-new single titled “object permanence” ahead of her upcoming album. The track is now available to stream on Spotify!
The single describes the understanding that objects can still exist, even when they can’t be sensed. The songstress puts together a wonderful piece of music that is likely to get stuck in your head for at least a week. This hasn’t been the only single she has released recently. Her last single “refuse to die” showcases her beautiful voice. Put these two tracks alongside “staircase failure” and “steve” – the other songs she has dropped – and you know that her upcoming album is going to be one to remember.
When talking about “object permanence” Sydney Sprague says;
“It is a fundamental concept in the development of infants, and sometimes I feel like I struggle with it as an adult. Not literally, but if you’ve ever been in a long-distance relationship, you can probably relate. This song is about settling into that feeling of separation and trying to get comfortable.”
“maybe i will see you at the end of the world” will be Sydney’s debut album, and it will be available to stream from the 26th of February. If you can’t wait that long, you can pre-order it here. Her music is very fitting considering the kind of world we’re currently living in. Her lyrics are raw and authentic. Sydney has the power to write songs that tell the perfect story. She’s an artist that has a talent for being able to put an impossible situation into words, and then excute them in the most stunning way possible.
This is a singer you don’t want to miss so be sure to follow Sydney Sprague on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for more updates.
