Maggie Lindemann surprises the world once again by releasing yet another banger titled “Scissorhands,” three weeks after her last single GASLIGHT ft Siiickbrain. The track is now available to stream on all major streaming platforms.
“Scissorhands” showcases Maggie’s growth as an artist. With every new song that she releases, we see more of how the singer has evolved. It has that creepy, yet endearing, punk vibe that is the perfect release for Halloween month. It has that dark edge that will have you hooked instantly. That pop princess has truly disappeared and become our punk queen.
The track is the third single she has released from her upcoming EP “Paranoia” which is due to be released on the 22nd of January 2021 through Caroline Records and her own label, swixxzaudio.
When speaking about “Scissorhands,” Maggie Lindemann says;
“Obviously, this song was inspired by the classic 90’s film, Edward Scissorhands. The film on the surface is classic Tim Burton – fun and silly – but underneath it speaks to loneliness and the challenges in society to be accepted”
It’s exciting to see the songstress’ musical journey and watch it transform into something completely different to what we have seen from her in the previous years. “Paranoia” will be one to watch out for in what will (hopefully) be the beginnings of a better year for music, venues, and the world.
This is an EP you don’t want to miss! If “Scissorhands,” “GASLIGHT,” and “Knife Under My Pillow” are anything to go by, “Paranoia” will be one of our most anticpated releases of next year. You don’t want to miss out. Be sure to follow Maggie on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for any further updates.
