The extremely talented Gillian Heidi has recently released her brand-new single “desperate.” You can now stream and purchase the track on all major streaming platforms here.

“desperate” has followed Gillian’s previous singles “High” and “Static,” and is the third single taken from her upcoming “3am” album – which is due to be released later in the year. The track talks about being in a relationship with someone, but longing for someone else. Not the most ideal situation, but if we’re all being honest with ourselves, it’s something most of us have experienced – making the single highly relatable.

Gillian Heidi has an absolutely stunning voice. Her sound is a mixture between R&B and pop, a combination she can certainly pull off. When talking about “desperate,” the Boston-based singer says;

“I think that ‘Desperate’ really sets the tone of the album, it was one of the first songs I wrote for the album and it’s one of my favourites.”

Well, if this track is anything to go by, then we know her debut album is going to be banging! Her songs focus on some pretty heavy topics that she executes beautifully. She documents relationship issues, confronting the pains of addiction, and facing loneliness. Extremely wise for someone so young.

Last year, Gillian independently released her debut EP titled Unfiltered. The lead single, “What It Felt Like,” reached a massive 200k streams – for an unsigned artist, that is ridiculously impressive.
