Beth can create stories through her music about real-life situations. “Cool Kids” is a track that will resonate with many. If focusses on the topic of bullying. Although that is quite a hard topic to discuss, especially if that is something you have experienced, Beth was able to create a fun pop song filled to the brim with confidence, as well as vulnerability.

There is a rare gift in the music world that not everyone is fortunate to have. That is the talent to be able to write songs that so many people can relate to and instantly fall in love with. Beth has this gift. If you’re a fan of Taylor Swift, she’s definitely the singer for you. “Cool Kids” was inspired by her own personal story of a boy who bullied her when she was younger. She explains;

“I heard that he and his friends respect me because I decided to pursue my dreams and do something different instead of following the standard career path. I have to admit, it felt pretty great to hear that! Whether it’s at school or in the workplace, bullying happens when those who are popular or powerful in some way choose to use that power against others. And usually this behaviour is driven by something deeper such as insecurity, peer pressure, personal trauma or having been bullied themselves.”
