Jorja Smith has recently shared her brand-new single What’s Done is Done, alongside a music video that perfectly captures the essence of the track.
The official music video was directed by long-term collaborator and friend KC Locke. Together, the pair have set the scene of a full night out at the club with friends. Scenes change between raves, block parties, quiet rooftop moments, as well as some solitary shots of Jorja singing what can only be described as the perfect garage song of the summer.
What’s Done is Done was produced by London producer P2J. In the lyricism, Jorja Smith creates a powerful track that does not deserve to go unnoticed within the music scene. She describes what it feels like to recliam power over a situation, and accept that some things cannot be undone – and that it is probably for the best.
The songstress has just celebrated the ten year anniversary of her track Blue Lights. However, rather than looking back on the past, Jorja Smith is keen to look forward as she approaches her new era with What’s Done is Done. The new single marks a change of direction. Her next chapter will promise emotional depth and sharp songwriting, both of which have defined her work from the very beginning. Only now, she is back, better than ever.
What’s Done is Done is now available to stream via all major streaming platforms. This is just the beginning on what will be Jorja’s most emotionally impactful era yet.
