A few weeks agao, Bleachers shared a heartbreakin yet fantastic new Christmas song titled “Merry Christmas, Please Don’t Call.” It is now available to stream via all major streaming platforms!

“Merry Christmas, Please Don’t Call” is a song for those who just need a good cry every now and again. Now, not everyone we meet in life stays. But there are those that we wish would stay forever and for whatever reason, they decide not to. We all have those people in our lives and when it comes to holidays and celebrations, there will be moments where you wished that person was there and they are not. Even though you have moved on and you wish them well, there will always be times where you think “what if” and Christmas brings that feeling out in us. Bleachers have beautifully described what this moment feels like. The lyrics, whilst heart wrenching, are incredibly relatable and it feels like a hug when you listen to it.

Just last week, the band shared a music video for the track which can be viewed below:

Lead singer and producer, Jack Antonoff – who is also famously known for being Taylor Swift’s right hand man when writing and producing her songs – has been dropping hints about this Christmas song for a good few years now. Since 2022, he has posted random snippets of the track on social media, performing it at his shows, but it took him and the band until now to finally release the full studio version. Fans were far from disappointed. Some have compared it to the well known Christmas song “Last Christmas” by Wham! It’s festive, whilst also being completely soul destroying. A contrast one does not see often in festive music – but it is truly a masterpiece that deserves to be listened to by all!
