Nate Smith and Avril Lavigne have reunited for the exceptional new track ‘Can You Die From a Broken Heart’.
‘Can you Die From a Broken Heart’ starts with the gorgeous vocals from Nate and setting the tone from the very beginning. With the use of passionate voice and creative lyrics, it’s really easy to picture the imagery that accompanies the track.
When discussing the new release, Nate Smith said:
“Getting the chance to work with one of your all-time favourite singers twice is humbling and such a pinch me moment,” says Smith. “Avril is an absolute powerhouse of a vocalist but equally as a human being. It’s such a joy working with her, and I feel like I’ve learned a lot in the process. As far as the song, ‘Can You Die From A Broken Heart’ is the epitome of what a heartbreak ballad should feel and sound like. The bridge is my favourite part of the song because it’s so epic with the soaring ohs and feels like it gives the slightest nod to ‘I’m With You’, which happens to be my favourite Avril song. I think this song will touch hearts in a deep and meaningful way.”
The voices of the two compliment each other perfectly. The harmonies are second to none. Sometimes, it can be difficult for two talented singers to work together as one can outshine the other. Nate and Avril is the perfect pairing to really get this message across.
