Waterloo Road has returned to our screens once again with a brand-new season!
This BBC drama originally started back in 2006 and quickly turned into a well-loved series about a school where the pupils can be…troubling. The show stopped airing back in 2014 but, after a nine year hiatus, it returned once again with new faces as well as a few old ones. This new era has now just released it’s fourth series and can be viewed on iPlayer as well as the entire backlog of the show – so you can even catch up on previous series if you have never watched it before!
Waterloo Road is well-known for it’s heart-wrenching storylines. Schools see pupils from all walks of life and the show truly brings that out within its episodes. With every episode you witness the coming of age of the students. In previous series we have seen teen pregnancies, several deaths, weddings, and A LOT of addicting drama that you can’t help but binge watch. Season 14 sees a whole new head teacher, Steven Savage (Jason Manford) after Kim Campbell (Angela Griffin) stands down to marry her lover Andrew Treneman (Jamie Glover). The full trailer to the new series can be viewed below;
Steven struggles to hold up the school as he deals with his son Billy – who is also a pupil – with his issues of bullying. Like all schools, it has its ups and downs between the students and the teachers. There are occasions where it is really quite humorous so it is not all doom and gloom. The storylines will have you on the edge of your seat with anticipation so be sure to binge watch them as soon as possible to avoid spoilers!
