“You’ll Be Okay, Kid” is the all new single from Demi Lovato – a song which will be featured on their new documentary “Child Star.”

Demi has always been very candid when talking about their mental health and troubles they faced when being thrown into the entertainment industry as a child. Their story is a heartbreaking one that’s inspired many. “You’ll Be Okay, Kid” is an emotional, yet hopeful track that is sure to resonate with many. It’s vocally strong and the lyrics will make you want to reach for the tissues. In the single, Demi Lovato reassures her past self. It’s a letter the they wrote to their inner child and when listening to it, you will want to do the same.

The track was written and recorded ahead of the singers new documentary “Child Star” which will be released on the 17th September on Hulu. In the documentary, Demi reflects on her past and discusses the highs and lows of being a child star. It will also feature a few other child stars including; Drew Barrymore, Kenan Thompson, Christina Ricci, Raven-Symoné, JoJo Siwa, and Alyson Stoner. Demi also co-directed the documentary alongside Nicola Marsh.

Last September, Demi shared a new(ish) album titled “REVAMPED” and, like most big artists are doing nowadays, it showcased ten reimagined tracks of previous songs throught their career. Demi’s music roots are certainly inspired by the pop-rock scene and the new versions of her most well-loved songs perfectly demonstrates this. It will transport you back to those early 2000s, emo/punk phases.
