The Bikeriders has just hit the cinemas, and it’s a film that everyone is talking about!

The Bikeriders is based on the true story of a Midwestern motorcycle club. The Vandals are loosely based on the Chicago Outlaws who were a biker gang formed in the sixties. The story follows The Vandals and their way of living across a decade. Photographer Danny (Mike Faist) follows the gang to document their way of life. He spends most of his time interviewing Kathy (Jodie Comer) who is the wife of one of the original Vandals, Benny (Austin Butler.) Kathy met Benny and instantly fell for him – marrying him only five days after originally meeting. Kathy did not come from the some background, so had to quickly adjust to that lifestyle. No matter how difficult it got, she stuck by her husband through thick and thin. Their love story is a rollercoaster.

But the film was more than just the love story of Benny and Kathy. The group was formed by Johnny (Tom Hardy). Johnny wanted to have a place where other motorcycle enthusiasts come together to ride, drink, fight, and do whatever they want to do. The group grew to various parts of America however, the more bikers that were let in, the more trouble was caused. New members of the group started committing more serious crimes and threatening the original groups way of life.

The Bikeriders is a captivating story that will instantly engross you. You may feel that this is not your taste in film however, once you give it a chance, you will not regret it. The star-studded cast truly bought the story to life. You did not feel like you were watching actors on a screen. You believed that the characters in front of you were true and real. It was raw at times, and grew to be very emotional.
