Singer-songwriter, Florrie, has just dropped her fantastic debut album “The Lost Ones” – which can now be streamed via all major streaming platforms!
The album opens with the track that shares the same name as the album. “The Lost Ones” is the perfect introduction to the 12-track album as it gives you a glimpse of what’s to come. It has a catchy tone that draws you in and leaves you craving for more. Lucky for the listener, there is still eleven more tracks to hear! “Never Far from Paradise” and “Kissing in the Cold” follow – both of which have the perfect build from start to finish.
Most tracks have an infectious and catchy beat to them however, Florrie does slow it occasionally. “Honeymoon’s Over” is a beautiful ballad about a relationship coming to an end. It’s lyrically relatable, and vocally stunning. The track that follows “Honeymoon’s Over” couldn’t be further away. “Looking for Love” is one for the long road trips. It has a summertime feel that has a sense of nostalgia within it. It’s bouncy and has a good feel to it – the best song to listen to on bad days.
Another favourite on the album includes “Love Hearts” which is simply enchanting. Florrie’s vocals shine on this track as she describes a situation where a lover is trying to win you back. The song simply flows beautifully from start to finish. The album ends with “Jealous” which takes a different turn to the other catchy tracks on the album. Just like “Honeymoon’s Over”, Florrie made the decision to end the album on a much slower song. “Jealous” is exactly what the title suggests. It’s about watching someone you love move on to someone new. It’s not easy watching someone you once thought the world of fall in love with someone else, and Florrie perfectly describes just what that feels like.
On the album, Florrie explains;
“I like that it’s the lost songs for people who have been following me for a while, but it is also about this period of feeling completely lost and me finding my way back to who I am.”
The singer will be supporting Girls Aloud at their O2 shows, as well as performing her headline show at The Courtyard in London, so fans don’t have to wait long to hear these incredible songs live!
