Pale Waves have announced their 4th album ‘Smitten‘, which is due to be released later this year on 20th September.
Pale Waves have had an incredible journey since their debut and show no sign of slowing down. They have now announced their 4th album, ‘Smitten’ which will be released towards the end of summer. The album was written between the US and the UK spanning over 2 years. Their signature sound is due to be portrayed a bit differently with this release, deviating from their pop punk sound of previous album ‘Unwanted’ released in 2022.
When discussing the new release, Heather said:
“I found myself writing about not just a certain time period, but my whole life, from years ago. When I fall in love, I fall deep, and it’s interesting to me that you can feel so fascinated and smitten with someone and then they can become a total stranger. So I feel like Smitten really summarised perfectly what I felt for others at a certain point.”
To celebrate the announcement, Pale Waves have released new track ‘Perfume’ from the upcoming release. Taking their thoughts back to their northern roots, The gorgeous vocals from Heather are light and soft and sound perfect matched with the clashing of beats and drums.
