Legendary game series Fallout has entered a new form of Media, this 8-parter is now available to watch on Amazon Prime!
There are already fans around the world of the Fallout franchise, spanning over decades of gaming on multiple consoles. Now, a whole new audience are invited via a new form of media as the video game series is now watchable.
The story element of the show follows three characters all with very different experience of the post apocalyptic world. Lucy MacLean (Ella Purnell) has only ever known what it’s like inside Vault 33, an underground bunker that has been the home to many over hundreds of years. She’s never been on the outside, until her father is kidnapped and must be found, it’s an adjustment to say the least!
Maximus (Aaron Clifton Moten) is a member of the Brotherhood of Steel and is regimented to fight for their beliefs. After an opportunity presents itself early on in the series, Maximus takes it upon himself to try and really make a name for himself and to complete the quest on his own. That is until another squire, Thaddeus, is sent to join him.
Finally, The Ghoul (Walton Goggins) is the only main character who was alive all those years prior when the war began. Following his life from before and also present day, the contrast of before and after is extraordinary. Piecing together what he knew pre-war and what he can see now, The Ghoul is on a journey of understanding, and he’ll let nobody stand in the way.
Lucy, Maximus and The Ghoul inevitably cross paths and they are all on the search for the same item yet for different reasons. If you’re looking for a gritty post-apocalyptic vibe with its own world and history, this is a recommended watch for you. Don’t worry if you’re not a fan of the games – the show is designed to be watched by everyone!
