Annie Dressner has shared her stunning new album, ‘I Thought It Would Ne Easier.’ It’s available to listen on all major streaming platforms!

The album starts with ‘Black and White’, which is the perfect opener. Describing the feeling that many of us have felt, it’s easy to think at the time that you’re dealing well with a change. It’s only hindsight that can throw your thought process off course, and realise that it was a more complicated situation than you once thought!

‘Do You Want To Start A Fight’ is completely defeated and gives a bored sort of energy – in a good way! There’s so many more ways to move forward from a disagreement than fighting. It’s important to put your efforts and energy into a healthy resolution!

When discussing the new album, Annie said:

“I Thought It Would Be Easier” encompasses the theme of the record. I didn’t realize how hard life could be and would be at certain times. I hope that the record will resonate with people. Perhaps they have gone through similar things and therefore feel heard and comforted by the songs. Maybe the songs can express the listener’s emotions that they couldn’t articulate themselves. Or maybe people will just like the way that they sound! I guess I just hope people like the record… I know I do!’

‘Leather Chair’ is soft, subtle, and shows off the lovely vocals from Annie Dressner perfectly. She has the ability to linger on a word so delicately that it sets her tone aside from the rest. Shortly after is ’18 Years’, and features Polly Paulusma. Their gorgeous harmonies and change in speed is a gorgeous combination that fans look forward to hearing more of.

The collection finishes with ‘Should’ve Seen It Coming’ and wraps up the album perfectly. The upbeat number is a perfect send off to a truly beaitufl album.
