Everybody’s beloved punk band, Bowling For Soup, have just dropped their brand-new cover “Don’t You Want Me” with Rival Town and The Anti-Queens.

The Human League released the original track all the way back in 1982. Now, the kings of covers Bowling for Soup dropped they’re insane version of the song. They bought in Rival Town and The Anti-Queens into help them and together, they created a whole new version to fit their classic, unique style. Bowling for Soup love sharing covers. In fact, they even released a whole album of covers. They find it funny that their are so many people out there that confuse them with other bands. Hilariously, they took the opportunity to release an album filled with covers of the songs people THOUGHT was their own songs (Stacey’s Mom being one of these songs).

Bowling for Soup is everyone’s comfort band. There are so many songs out there that focus on the deep and meaningful; break-ups, mental health, loss. Although it is good to find comfort in these songs, it’s rare you find music that is fun and unserious. Bowling for Soup are not one of these bands. They’re all about the fun. Their music is upbeat, fun, and easy to escape into when you need a pick me up.

The band found mainstream at the beginning of the 2000s. Since then, they have released several successful albums and singles. In that time, they have garnered a huge hardcore fanbase. Even those that aren’t classed as fans, know at least one of their songs. They have made quite the impression on the punk scene as they are still thriving to this day.
