Tia Kofi has released her glorious new album ‘Read My Lips’. It is available to listen to on all major streaming platforms!
Tia Kofi rose to fame during her stint on the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, and is from Clapham in South London.
The album starts strong with the title track ‘Read My Lips’. It truly sets the scene for the whole collection, is incredibly fun and sends an empowering message. It’s shortly followed with ‘Movie’, describing the feeling of wanting to pause and rewind memories. Filled to the brim with fun similes and metaphors, the realisation that sometimes you have to just move on hits hard.
A few tracks later we have ‘Found Someone’ with a more upbeat, garage sound. With her almost raps and different vibe, it’s clear early on during ‘Read My Lips’ that Tia Kofi can handle and genre that comes her way.
‘Satellite’ has a strong feeling of ‘all or nothing’ and has influence from the likes of Kim Petras. This track will definitely get you up dancing and will be added to pre-drink playlists up and down the country!
‘Look What You’ve Done’ is an intense club track and describes of meeting a special someone and feeling your best self when you’re with them. A feeling that many of us can forget after a while with someone, but is an important aspect of any relationship.Fans of Tia Kofi look forward to what comes next, after recently winning Drag Race UK vs. The World as well as the new album, the future certainly looks bright.
The collection closes with ‘Outside In’ and is a glorious goodbye to the new album.
