Yes, you read that title right. After two years since Little Mix decided to go their separate ways, Perrie Edwards has finally announced the next chapter in her solo venture.
Fans of Little Mix have been speculating what the 30 year old singer has been up to for months now. We’ve seen fellow band mate Leigh-Anne release her solo music and is absolutely killing it. Jesy Nelson has also released a couple of hits, and we are yet to see what Jade Thirlwall has up her sleeve. But, it appears to be Perrie’s turn to share what she has been working on. She sent fans in a frenzy this week as she announced that she will be releasing her debut single “Forget About Us”, which is now available to pre-save here!
She took to Instagram to make her announcement where she exclaims;
“Here’s the truth of it….” Wow 🥹 it’s happening!! My first solo single Forget About Us is coming, available to pre-save now 🩵
The post received a landslide of love gaining over 400 thousand likes! Her bandmates also shared their excitement for their friend in the comments with Jade and Leigh-Anne showcasing their roller-coaster of emotions in the form of emojis.
Perrie Edwards is a phenomenal vocalist that have grown even stronger throughout her successful music career. Together, Little Mix performed the most beautiful harmonies you will ever hear. Now that she is venturing out on her own, it will be interesting to witness just how powerful those vocals can be as a solo artist.
