Zara Larsson has released her brand new collection of songs ‘VENUS’. It’s available to listen to on Spotify!
The collection starts with ‘Can’t Tame Her’ and sets the precedent of the whole album. It will get you up and dancing, singing along and you’re guaranteed to know every word after a few listens. It’s seriously catchy and remains popular amongst fans.
A few tracks later we have ‘On My Love’, which features David Guetta. With a gradual build up, you’ll feel the intensity of the track until it drops at the first chorus. Having you on the edge of your seat, the rest of the track is fabulous and defines different moods throughout.
‘None Of These Guys’ describes the gratefulness of nobody else comparing to the one you love. Detailing how other boys are like ‘NPC’S’, Zara sings about how when you’ve met the right person it’s clear why they stand out from the rest!
‘You Love Who You Love’ follows with an entirely different message. Many of our readers have been there – a friend or love done in a toxic relationship that they keep going back to. ‘You Love Who You Love’ is emotionally raw and is a true depiction of tough love.
‘Nothing’ is a slower and more intense track and for that reason stands out in comparison to the other tracks. The frustration of noticing a difference in someone and them not having a conversation about why this is happening can be tough, and can easily cause a relationship breakdown if they don’t communicate.
‘Venus’ is the penultimate sound to the collection, and offers an 80’s synth vibe. It’s pure pop and is a great example of how Zara Larsson can create music from different genres and each are as good as each other!
The album comes to a close with ‘The Healing’. A gorgeous ballad to round up the overload of new music. The songstress talks over the question that many people face, can you return to an ex partner or situation after you’ve healed? It might have been finding your inner peace or self worth, but either way, sometimes it’s best to put everything behind you after ‘The Healing’.
