Ever wish you could transport yourself back to your emo music phase? Or perhaps you never left? Either way, “Barely Breathing” will fill all you pop-punk cravings. It’s an extremely powerful single that will absorb your interest from the moment you hit that play button. There is no slowing down throughout the whole song. You’re hit with an intense blow from the very beginning. Like getting punched in the face…but in a good way and less painful.
Against The Current added their stamp to the track and together, Against The Current and From Ashes to New create an awesome blend for insane vocals and excellent musicianship. “Barely Breathing” has a great contrast of being an upbeat song, whilst destroying your souls and breaking your heart with emotional lyrics. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it a thousand times; the best songs to listen to are the ones that make you feel something emotionally. Whilst some songs make you want to cry after a break up, this single makes you feel anger and want to throw a brick at someones face (we recommend you don’t do this after listening to the song…no matter how much you want to).
