Wizards of Waverly Place is a Disney Channel classic that was loved by all ages from across the world. It concluded back in 2012 but, will there be a reboot of some sort?
For those who do not know of the wonders of Wizards of Waverly Place, it was about a young wizard family living in New York. Starring the iconic Selena Gomez, we follow Alex Russo – a young, teenage wizard who has a sarcastic sense of humour, and can have a little bit of an attitude. Her, along with her brothers Justin Russo (David Henrie), and (Jake T. Austin), are trained by their dad (David DeLuise) to become the family wizard. The catch, however, is that only one of them can become the family wizard, with the other siblings losing their magic altogether.
The siblings, alongside Alex’s best friend Harper (Jennifer Stone), got into all kinds of trouble with their magic. The show truly was hilarious and extremely relatable to pre-teens and teenagers growing up. Now, their are rumours of a sequel that may or may not see some old, fun-loving characters return. Yes, actor David Henrie posted on his socials this week announcing that the Russo family will be returning to our screens. It has been said that he and Selena Gomez will be producing the show, and may make an appearance as their old characters.
It is still early days, so we do not yet know who else from the original cast will be joining David and Selena on this new adventure, but it will be an exciting time indeed.
