Corb Lund has released brand new single ‘Out On a Win’. It is now available to listen to on all major streaming platforms!
‘Out On a Win’ has a gorgeous acoustic vibe fro the beginning. The accompanied lyrics are incredibly descriptive and is able to paint a picture for all listeners. The track goes over the sense of reflection, and wanting to take a chance on making a change for the better.
When discussing the new release, Corb said:
“It’s a lot of minor keys and gambling songs, is what it is. It was just a few of us in my house. No studio. No outside producer. No adults in the room. No stress. There’s not a single electric instrument on the whole thing, just acoustic sounds and singing. In terms of having a vision, this is a record I’ve had in my sights for a while and it came out exactly how I’d hoped. We cut all the songs live in the same room with lots of bleed. A bunch of the songs we captured in one take, first time through.”
The new release also has bonus track ‘Old Familiar Drunken Feeling’, which has a less serious vibe making the overall listening experience one to remember. Showing that he is capable of all thoughts and emotions, Corb Lund has truly excelled himself with these new songs.
The new material doesn’t stop there as Corb is in preparations for releasing his brand new collection ‘El Viejo’, due to be released on 23rd Feb 2024. The album pays tribute to his late friend and mentor, Canadian singer songwriter Ian Tyson. You can find the track listing below:
