Asia Chow has released her stunning debut single ‘Days Unchanged’. It’s available to listen to on all major streaming platforms!
Based in Los Angeles, Asia is a singer songwriter who was brought up with Mahler and 70s rock. Although she idolised rock guitar idols growing up, when it came to making her own material she soon realised that a combination of folk, country and nostalgic pop was better suited to her.
‘Days Unchanged’ is soft an subtle in it’s approach, which is met with the descriptive, heart breaking lyrics. Truly soulful sounding, Asia is an absolute delight to listen to. Describing the feeling of the mundane routine of every day the track dives into the familiar feeling of questioning our purpose. A feeling that many feel this time of year, and Asia Show has done an exceptional job of making listeners feel like they are not alone in this.
When discussing the new release, Asia said:
“I woke up in not the cheeriest of moods the morning I wrote ‘Days Unchanged.’ I had been going through a period of extreme social isolation and the monotony of my days was starting to get to me. I went on my daily morning walk with my dog and even though it was a particularly foggy morning, the weather and my surroundings were familiar and comforting to me. Though I was struggling with dreading a different type of familiarity earlier that morning, I felt gratitude during my walk for certain aspects of the repetitiveness/cyclical nature of life. After I came home, the lyrics to ‘Days Unchanged’ were born out of these thoughts. I needed to write about what I was feeling about familiar days, isolation, and the duality of how time can be simultaneously perceived as passing both quickly and slowly.”
As well as making music, Asia is also an avid lover of art and style working with incredible photographers such as Steven Meisel, Marcus Piggott and Tim Walker. She’s featured in brand campaigns or Shiseido, Givenchy and many more, and also hit the pages of Vogue, W Magazine, V Magazine, international editions of Vanity Fair, the list is truly endless.
