The Sleeping Souls have released their debut album ”Just Before The World Starts Burning’. It’s available to listen to now!

The album kicks off with a bang in the for of ‘Underneath An Ocean Of Sky’. Setting the scene for the entire album, it will have you yearning for more but refusing to skip ahead at the same time. It’s a great introduction to the raw sound of The Sleeping Souls. Following this is ‘Caught Up In The Scrape’ which is already a firm fan favourite.

A couple of tracks later we have ‘Weathering The Storm’. Its’ slower vibe offers a calm amongst the chaos, and really shows that the band can cover all tempos, and dives into the feeling of getting through all scenarios with your special person.

When discussing the new release, The Sleeping Souls said:

““Living your life through cameras and apps isn’t living. Everyone is trying to live up to a version of themselves that doesn’t really exist in the real world, and you can’t have your own opinions for fear of being lambasted publicly. Even though we’ve moved forward technologically, old institutions still inform everything we do. We need to break free, but at what cost”

‘Rivals’ has have your head bobbing along in a heartbeat, and is complimented by the perfectly timed instruments and raw vocals. A few songs over is ‘Nothing To Talk About’, which will have you in your feels and reminiscing of previous scenarios that might have been a struggle!

Closing the album in the most beautiful was is ‘Whispers To The Faithful Few’ which is the perfect send off to the new collection.
