Songstress Gia Lily has just released her cleverly written new track “28th of Never” – now available to stream via all major streaming platforms!
“28th of Never” is for the ladies that receive…unwanted attention on a night out (or anywhere for that matter!). The track tells the tale of a “gentleman” named Adam who tries his luck chatting up the singer whilst her friends have gone elsewhere. Gia, understandably, isn’t interested. But this guy just can’t take the hint. “28th of Never” is a brilliantly written diss track to that guy, and the 28th of never is the date she gives him.
It’s a situation that most women have found themselves in at least once in their lifetimes. This empowering new song allows ladies to realize that they are worth better than the men they meet in bars and clubs. Sometimes the attention is wanted, other times…you would rather be anywhere else! Particular lyrics that stand out the most in the track you ask? “Want to know how to spell my name? It’s G-I-Ain’t gonna see you again,” “bad chat and worse tattoos. I don’t go for boys like you,” and, a personal favourite, “you put the ick in prick!” – If these lyrics don’t make you go and stream the song immediately, then we don’t know what will!
Alongside the genius lyricism, Gia’s vocals are exquisite. Pair that with a highly catchy beat, and it’s a track that you’re going to want on repeat and scream it from the top of your lungs.
