The Last Dinner Party Share ‘My Lady of Mercy’

The Last Dinner Party have released brand new track ‘My Lady of Mercy’. It’s available to listen to on all major streaming platforms!

‘My Lady of Mercy’ has been produced alongside James ford, and has bene described as a live favourite from fans and gig-goers. It’s constant change in pace keeps you on your toes throughout the duration, with an almost gothic atmosphere.

The new song is catchy from the beginning with it’s infectious hook and hand claps. The vocals are greeted with open arms to compliment the dreamy vibe of the track. That is, until, a completely new vibe kicks in a the chorus making this a fabulous listen crossing many genres!

When discussing the track, The Last Dinner Party said:

“My Lady of Mercy is about being a girl. A girl looking up at a painting of Joan of Arc for the first time and thinking that she looks so brave and so beautiful that she wants to kiss her. And maybe she also wants to kiss the girl who stands next to her in the school choir. We are expanding the world of The Last Dinner Party to encompass a darker, heavier atmosphere. The lyrics explore the anguish of a teenage crush that can only be described through the bloody, carnal language of religious experience, as the soundworld takes cues from Nine Inch Nails, PJ Harvey and Roxy Music.”

The band released ‘Nothing Matters’ back in April, and they have packed out tents at the likes of Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, Electric Picnic, Latitude, Green Man, and End of the Road since. It’s been an impressive summer for them, also supporting Lana Del Ray, The First Aid Kit, and Florence & The Machine.

The Last Dinner Party will be coming to a venue near you imminently, with a number of tour dates in the UK throughout October, as well as around the world for the rest of the year. you can get your tickets here!
